This Return & Refund Policy outlines your rights, our procedures, and the conditions under which returns, exchanges, and refunds may be requested.

Our refund and returns policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, we unfortunately cannot offer you a full refund or exchange.

Eligibility for Returns (Physical Goods)

To be eligible for a return, your item must be:

  • Free from physical or cosmetic damage,

30‑Day Returns for Faulty, Damaged, or Not‑as‑Described Items

If your item arrives damaged, faulty, or not as described, you are entitled to a return or exchange within 30 days of the purchase or delivery date. We will inspect the item upon return and, if approved, issue a full refund or replacement.

14‑Day Returns for Change of Mind

If you simply change your mind about a product, we offer a 14‑day return or exchange period, provided the item is unused, in perfect condition, and in its original packaging.

Non‑Returnable & Exempt Goods

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. These include:

  • Perishable goods such as food, flowers, newspapers, or magazines,
  • Intimate or sanitary goods,
  • Hazardous materials,
  • Flammable liquids or gases.

Additional Non‑Returnable Items

Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. To arrange an exchange for the same item, please email us at support@siliconempire.co.uk

Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift and shipped directly to you, you will receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be posted to you.

If the item was not marked as a gift, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves, the refund will be issued to the gift giver.

Shipping Returns

Customers are responsible for paying their own shipping costs for returning items. Shipping costs are non‑refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from the total.

Depending on your location, the time it may take for exchanged goods to reach you may vary.

For higher‑value items, we recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance, as we cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

Digital Goods Refund Policy

Silicon Empire offers a range of digital products, including software, downloads, and online services. Digital goods are eligible for a refund within 30 days of purchase, provided that:

  • The product has not been fully downloaded, activated, or used,
  • Proof of purchase is provided,
  • The request is made within the 30‑day window.

Once a digital product has been accessed or consumed, refunds may not be granted unless required by UK consumer law.
